Wyoming Trip 1 - Move on to Wyoming Trip 2

For years we talked about a trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons National Parks. This year we finally did it, and what a trip it was! During Labor Day week, we stayed 7 nights at the Snake River Lodge in Teton Village at the base of Jackson Hole Ski Resort and 1 night in Gardiner, Montana, 5 miles north of Yellowstone. Jackson is a quaint fun town with shops and good restaurants. We spent the first two days exploring the Jackson area and Grand Teton National Park. The day after Labor Day, when tourists left to get their kids back in school, we headed into Yellowstone and spent the day there. It rained Wednesday, so we relaxed in our room and spent time in Jackson. Thursday we checked out, crossed over the Teton Pass into Idaho, then headed north to Yellowstone again, this time via the town of West Yellowstone. We spent Thursday in the park, that night in Gardiner and again Friday in the park. Over 3 days we saw buffalo, elk, bighorn sheep, moose and bear. It was a great vacation as you will see from the photos on the 12 pages of this section.
