Outer Banks Trip 2
For many years we have talked about a driving
trip to the Outer Banks but always opted for
spectacular venues out west. In September, 2006 we finally made this
trip and
what a great vacation it was! On the way, we visited Duke University in
Durham, then took a ferry to the Outer Bank islands. Cape Hatteras is a beautiful National Seashore
with no civilized build-up. We stayed in Kitty Hawk for five days, visited the Wright
Brothers Museum with side trips to Roanoke Island, Virginia Beach,
Jamestown and Colonial Williamsburg. We biked Williamsburg and I failed
to bring my camera, so we missed getting photos.
