We talked many times about visiting Cumberland Island National Seashore,
off the coast of Georgia. Thanksgiving 2007 found us with nowhere
special to be, so we decided to just take off and do it. We first spent
three relaxing days in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island in the
northeast corner of Florida, near Jacksonville after which we ferried to
Cumberland Island. Very few vehicles, no TV, no internet. Just peace and
quiet at this remote location! |
