Harry & Maggie 2
Maggie, our mother, attended the Alabama School for the Deaf in
Talladega. Dad attended NC School for the Deaf in Morganton. At age 12,
Maggie became pen pals with Dad's sister, Maxine. At age 16, she began
corresponding with Harry. Four years later, Harry drove to Talladega for
Mom's graduation and they met for the first time. They married in 1940.
Dad passed away in 1995 and we sure miss him! Mom now lives in
Montgomery near Don and his family. |
